Know Your Recycling Dos & Don’ts

Knowing what is recyclable and what isn’t is crucial for keeping our communities clean.

Here are the items and materials we generally accept for recycling pickup, as well as a few select items we don’t:

Please check materials for the proper recycling symbol before throwing them into your recycle bins. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office via phone call or email, and we would be glad to help you!

Accepted Items:

  • PAPER – office paper, junk mail, envelopes, newspaper, magazines, etc.
  • PLASTICS numbered 1-7, water bottles/detergent bottles, shampoo/soap bottles, food container bottles (rinsed to remove any food/debris)
  • LDPE, HDPE plastics are also okay
  • TIN CANS, ALUMINUM CANS
  • CARDBOARD – food box containers, cardboard packaging, etc

Items Not Accepted:

  • NO Trash bags, shopping bags, ziplock bags, bread bags, etc.
  • NO Glass
  • NO Styrofoam
  • NO wood, construction materials (vinyl siding, doors, windows, etc.)
  • NO Clothing/Shoes
  • NO TRASH – diapers, food waste, hoses, etc
  • NO MEDICAL WASTE of any kind
